Visiting Moscow Botanic Garden in Winter!
The Botanic Garden of Moscow State University
The Apothecaries' Garden

So it's mid-January, and winter finally got the best of me. Even though I do have some plants of my own, it's not exactly a jungle in here (yet!), and I wanted to be surrounded by plants in the middle of this cold, unpleasant time of the year, even if just for a little while. I've been following this Botanic Garden on social media for quite a while now, and it looked like the perfect place for me to feed my love for greenery. Right now, during winter time, there's a festival going on with four exhibits/greenhouses open for visiting: an orchid/palm tree greenhouse, a succulent gallery, a "pond gallery" (plants that live in or by the water of any kind), and a bonsai exhibition. Needless to say, I sneaked into each of them!
Now before I get to the pictures (and there's a lot of them), I wanted to say a few words about the Garden. First off, for only about $5, you get to see so much! I was incredibly surprised at how low the entry fee was and I can definitely say I'm going to visit as often as possible from now on and probably even get a yearly access ticket (they have those and they're also very cheap). It's great that the place is so affordable as it allows anyone who has a love for plants to enjoy it at any time of the year. Another great thing about it is, it's very obvious that everything is organized and made with great consideration and love for nature, this is something I was very happy to see in a place like this. Generally, visiting the Garden was an incredibly positive experience, so if you're already in Moscow, or planning to visit, I strongly suggest you take the time to explore this place. Personally, I left it in a great mood, filled with positive energy and a wish to come back as soon as possible. And now enough talking, more pictures!
